I have been with MAS for a few months, started out with the temp agency. I am a mother of two little boys, and am one of the bilingual MTA agents. I joined the EDI to make a difference in our workplace and communities, but also to gain more knowledge and experience for myself.

Kayla (She/Her) is one of the MTA Performance Managers in the Contact Center who has joined this committee to help inspire and motivate individuals to express themselves through their own social, gender and cultural identities. She hopes to help enhance the workplace culture and spread awareness of diversity and inclusion.

Anali started off as a bilingual MTA over two years ago and recently joined the Education Team. She believes in the power of bringing awareness to diversity and inclusion in the workforce through action and education. Being part of this committee, she also focuses on researching organizations and charities doing meaningful work in the communities that MAS serves.

With a passion for serving the mental health community, Josh has worked for nearly 20 years in a variety of settings treating co-occurring disorders. In coordination with treatment providers, he increases access to effective care and eliminates barriers to safe and supportive transportation.

Belinda, a contact center supervisor, has the opportunity to work with a diverse workforce. She promotes inclusivity by valuing and appreciating all opinions and decisions. A descendant of Mexican & Puerto Rican background, she takes pride being a part of the EDI committee, continuing to focus on education and health while supporting individuals and communities.

I have been with MAS since 2019, started as an MTA, then joined the Ed & Training team in Aug 2022. I was excited to a to join the EDI committee as I believe inclusivity is important, regardless of gender, culture, religion, disabilities or background. We all want to feel included, seen, heard and accepted and I hope to make that possible for all our stakeholders during my time on the committee.

Peg is the MAS Transportation Provider Liaison for Eastern NY in the Hudson Valley Region. A retired teacher, school administrator of more than 30 years, Peg values diversity in the workforce by fostering creativity and innovative solutions that bring together people of varied backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.

I have been with MAS for 3 years. I have had the unique experience of being an enrollee, a driver for nemt, and now enjoy my role in the Quality Assurance & Customer Service Department. I joined the council because I enjoy what I do and want to continue to make a difference.

Gena is a data analyst on the Business Analytics Team, providing our enrollees appropriate transportation for medical care. Before MAS, she worked with a population struggling with substance use disorders, as an Advanced CASAC. She hopes to learn more about the diversity of her own EDI team. Her favorite quote: “Be a better version of yourself, than you were the day before.”
